Please let me know what you think and if you have something I am missing let me know so I can go find it and add it. There are lots of pictures so 56k beware, I've opened it at my parents with 56k and it does load and I think it is worth the wait

question....about to pull the trigger on a fastback 1970, it "could" be a Mach I????

I could not find the serial in it's appropriate place....and the data tag was faded. I looked at both aprons.....

Any suggestions finding the serial for this car?

Second question, any way to get this car legal if it has been removed?

Hi,

Is the Sports Light switch , just above the radio, standard on the Mach 1 and can anyone tell me how the switch operates? My switch seems to only have an off and on position but has three wires attached (well previously attached).

When the switch is on i assume the two lights should be on but what about when the switch is off? I cannot see what the third wire is for as it appears not to go to the lights.

Any ideas welcome

Question, where all the 1970 mustangs fitted with the wooly engine compartment isolation or was that optional.
Is it usefull to fit it in the compartment or not ?

Can any one confirm the correct method of securing the A/c compressor tag and the A/c clutch feed wire, these are secured on top of each other. So far as per the Jim Osbourne 1970 body book, it calls up for a clip, other books that I have seen and also various other pics shows a bolt. Which is correct? or do different assembly plants have different methods? If it is a clip does any one know what it looks like? HELP

Dear All,

I´m Niels, I´m 26 years of age and I´m also in the 70s Mustang thing

I recently bought a 1970 Mach 1 that is in a very good condition all around.

With the car came a pretty large bunch off bills that recon over $40K of resoration in the last 10 years. ( from paint to engine overhaul and from complete new original interior to very small details.)

I'm very happy with it, it runs very good and I believe thats all that counts...

hope you enjoy...

First off I am new to this site, so sorry if this discussion has been done. I collect die cast mustangs and curtain GM cars that start with a C#%$%o. Does anyone remeber a die cast set made by ERTL several years ago that had 3 1969 or 1970 mustangs that where in rough shape(doors different color, rust) so on. I would love to find these if anyone has seen them or owns some ca I get a lot # off of them and the series. Thanks I know it sounds weird.

Throtle Solenoid Details?

My car is a 351C-4V that came with a 4 speed and A/C. I remember back in the early 70's the throtle soleniod quit working and we took it off. Now, I'm trying to get the engine compartment back to as original as possible. Does anyone have a picture of the bracket and attachment for the solenoid? I'd also be interested in a picture or description of how and where the wiring goes to activate the soleniod. Are there any sources for the bracket or solenoid?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

So thought I would share a couple of pics. I am pottering along just cleaning her up rather than a complete rebuild fornow. Very happy as I do this, the lack of rust is astounding really and the underbody is all original. Bit of underbody soundproofing to clean off the then a little K&H rust converter where needed then just using some chassis spray for now. The underbody has a great coat of original red-brown Metuchen primer- couldn't find the camera in time for that.

I have peiced together a set for my car. But some of the peices have holes that are drilled into them for screws to mount. Also missing the tabs. This can be fixed, I just need to know how. Can I use solder to fill the holes or tig, mig,or spot weld them. and, as for the stupid tabs couldnt I mount a new tab from round stock or something? I already have the rocker paint, thought that was a little unusuall (sp). thnaks Kyle
