Hopefully someone loves 70 Mach's enough to enjoy this collection I have been working it for like 7 years and I finally got a Digital Camara so I could take pictures of all of it. Please let me know what you think and if you have something I am missing let me know so I can go find it and add it. There are lots of pictures so 56k beware, I've opened it at my parents with 56k and it does load and I think it is worth the wait

question....about to pull the trigger on a fastback 1970, it "could" be a Mach I????

I could not find the serial in it's appropriate place....and the data tag was faded. I looked at both aprons.....
Any suggestions finding the serial for this car?
Second question, any way to get this car legal if it has been removed?

First off I am new to this site, so sorry if this discussion has been done. I collect die cast mustangs and curtain GM cars that start with a C#%$%o. Does anyone remeber a die cast set made by ERTL several years ago that had 3 1969 or 1970 mustangs that where in rough shape(doors different color, rust) so on. I would love to find these if anyone has seen them or owns some ca I get a lot # off of them and the series. Thanks I know it sounds weird.

I'm replacing the hood with an OEM Ford tooling hood and will need to cut new holes. I would use the old hood but it was butchered by a body shop 29 years ago and the holes aren't cut evenly or spaced correctly.

A quick FYI - watch how you run your speedometer cable if you decide to run headers. I burnt/welded my speedometer cable even prior to having it hooked to the speedometer - did it while breaking in the engine and moving the car during painting (prior to putting in the dash).

Brightside is it wasn't to hard to replace. The jacking the car up & down probably took as much time as the replacement. On a side note - I kind of thought the car was coming off the line slow when I was ...

Hello, I am looking at a 70 Mach 1 M code, grabber(or hugger?) orange with shaker, appears to be the original 351 Cleveland motor (D0 block with C9 heads) and fmx auto, white interior, A/C. I really was not in the market for this, but it is for sale at $5,000 and I feel that maybe this is to good to pass up. The catch is that it is in terrible condition. Terrible meaning that there is considerable rust in both quarters, trunk dropoffs, floor boards, and doors. I realize that all of these parts ...

I'd imagine most, if not all of us, subscribe to "Mustang Monthly" magazine.

Well, if you don't, pick up the lastest issue, May 2009.

There is a great article and pics of Larry Carrell's Trio of Twisters, all in Grabber Orange.

He has a 1970 Mach I (which he loves the best), and two EF5 Twisters.

I like the '70 the best as well.

I'm wondering if Larry is a member here????

Just thought I would post an updated pic of the car down here in Australia. Still not yet on the road as trying to jump through a few regulatory hoops down here and not through them all yet.

Also posted a couple of pics of some ongoing work as I had to repair the heater box, sports lights , fan and a few other things as I went. The car is an older survivor never really been touched but is pretty much rust free and I want to get it on the road and have a bit of fun before looking for ...

This has become a very difficlult question to answer. I need a front drivers seat for my 70 Mach 1. Besides the Mach 1 itself, what other Ford models would have used the same seat frame. I have seen some opinions that the frames used on the Mach 1 were only used on the Mach 1. It seems hard to believe that Ford would have built a unique seat for one car (accept maybe using a Racaro or something like that). Anyone have any difinitive info what seats from what models might be the same?

I thought I would share some pictures. http://garrysgarage.spaces.live.com/

It did 248 to the rear wheels with 309 torque.

My only mods are headers with Flowmasters, a 600 cfm Holley and a single plane "X-Celerator " maniflold by Weiand. The manifold is designed for much ...

Hello,

I am new to this web site and forum, I recently purchased a 1970 "M" code bright gold metallic Mach1 locally in the sate of Georgia. Although the car is no longer in original trim/color I am looking forward to experiencing the thrill of ownership and bringing her back to life. My wife has a 2006 GT 5 speed convertible, black on black. She loves it!.

I live in Hawaii and am preparing to ship the Mach1 overland and then by sea. If anyone has personal experience with a reputable ...

The All-Ford Show at Carlisle is coming up the first part of June. This years event is showcasing the 1969-70 Boss 302's and 429's as well as 1971 Boss 351's.

I'll be there in my '03 Mach 1. A 12-hour drive is a little more than my wife can endure in a"classic" Mustang so we'll take the newer one again this year. Last year I actually ran into and got to meet Raynald Bélanger, our founder and webmaster, in the swap meet yard and we talked a bit. Hopefully this year with a little prior ...
