Dear All,

I´m Niels, I´m 26 years of age and I´m also in the 70s Mustang thing

I recently bought a 1970 Mach 1 that is in a very good condition all around.

With the car came a pretty large bunch off bills that recon over $40K of resoration in the last 10 years. ( from paint to engine overhaul and from complete new original interior to very small details.)

I'm very happy with it, it runs very good and I believe thats all that counts...

hope you enjoy...

The previous owner found the car while playing paintball near Salem, OR. He thought he was hiding next to a berry patch, but on closer examination it was a shed cover by blackberries. Inside the shed was a Grabber blue highly optioned M code that had been there since the mid-70's. It had thrown a valve and the rancher's ...

Does anyone know what this actually consisted of?

Rumour has it that it was brought in by Ford Aus to be on the showroom floor only and sell Mustangs from the floor models. This didn't really take off and the rest is cloudy. Have rang Ford Australia and they are searching for records but haven't ...

Well,

I am on the Mach 1 registry with my '03 Mach and some of the guys turned me on to this site so here is the story.......

My First car was a 1969 Mustang GT Sportsroof, Red "S" code with deluxe int. C6, air, fold down, tilt away, etc etc. I have owned 5 or 6 69-70 Mustangs since then. Some Mach 1's.

I have always had a 69-70 Mustang in the garage until 02, I got a wild idea I wanted to fullfill a childhood dream of owning a Corvette. I put up my last 1969 Mustang, another ...

Well I did it, I purchased a 70 428cj yesterday after I promised myself that I would not work on big block cars anymore. I guess I figured just one more. It is a great car, in need or a restore, but everything is there right down to the original exhaust. This will be a fun project.

Hi,

Purchased a Mach 1 in May but took a while to get it 'downunder' a bit of a driver that needs a restoration - but that can wait a little.

M code was a manual but converted to auto, I will reverse that in the not to distant future.

Car is yellow, painted a long while ago but was originally light metallic blue.

First step will be to get it on the road and then replace interior. Vin 0T05M122223.

Cheers

I recently purchased mine from Southern Illinois and drove it up here to just outside the Motor City. The car is pretty solid and looks decent in pictures but needs restoring. I'm starting with the interior this winter which leads me to my first question (probably of many).

Does anyone know about the accent stripes on the seats available from most suppliers? I have the factory black interior and red would look nice with my exterior but I want to ...

Hi, we have finally registered on the site. We brought a 1970 M code from California in June 06 and it finally landed home in December 06. It was originally a Medium Metallic Blue, but the lady owner wanted a white one so the dealer got it painted white before delivery. The car is still white and unrestored. As far as we know the car is a one owner and "unmolested". It has the original shaker scoop, with tilt steering, power brakes and air con to name a few. The car has been sitting ...

Hello all,

I have had my Mach 1 since 1985, and it's about 85% restored now. I dreamed about owning a Mach 1 since seeing them as a kid. My dad was a big Ford fan, so we always were working or upgrading stuff. I have fond memories of my Dad uncorking the '65 Galaxie on the weekends. You really can't do stuff like anymore without the Police after you!! Anyways, I'm looking foward to talking to you'll. and here is a link to my Cardomain page:http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2688099

It was originally a automatic but I converted to a 4-speed stick. It is in the resto shop right now getting a major body re-do. New inner/outer rear quarters, new doors, new fenders.
Hey all!

Nice to be a part of a group of persons with similar interests. Hope to get to know some of you while using this forum as I learn at the same time.

I am the proud new owner of a 1970 Calypso Coral 351C 4bbl "M" code car with 41000 original miles. I am itching to drive it as the power steering pump is being rebuilt and I haven't had the chance yet. Hope winter doesn't set in too deeply so I can get the opportunity soon.

Hi My Name is Keith

I'm a new member from Pittsburg New Hampshire , Pittsburg is the furthest town north in NH till you cross into Canada (Chartierville PQ).

Anyways I purchased my Mach 1 last fall where it had been sitting outside uncovered since 1984 , needless to say its in very bad shape. I am waiting for my marti report to come back to find out more about the car , because the door tag was painted over , but I do have the original 351 Cleveland 4 barrel not sure of the trans. yet.

How exactly do you remove the rocker panels to refinish them? Any and all details would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi, after waiting for 35 years (my parents bought the car new in February 1970) I finally have the 1970 Mach I in my garage. The car is competely original with 111,000 miles. It has never been in a wreak, but has lots of little dings.

I would like to get in painted this year but I am wondering how to find a body shop that can do a great job?

Just wanted to appreciate you for all your efforts! Just bought my 70 Mach 351C 4-v 4speed 1 month ago. Although it needs a lot of work, I cant wait till I hear that engine idle!

When is a Mustang not a Mustang? When it is a Ford T-5 Mach 1 (export model of the Mustang). I purchased my Mach from a friend at night, two rules I had and have not broken except this once, in Feb 1986 thinking I was getting a cool car.
Hello to all the other '70 Mach 1 owners out there! I'm looking forward to learning and participating in this forum.

Our car is an early (Oct. '69) 70 Dearborn model and equipped with a 428CJ and a 4-spd. It's been carefully owner-restored to factory/MCA standards (complete rotisserie treatment) and has won numerous 1st place and special awards at local shows. A great deal of time and research went into bringing this car back to new and I'll be happy to help anyone seeking detailing ...
