PostSubject: Hi all from Perth Australia   Mon 23 Feb - 18:56

Hi there

Just purchased a RHD Mach 1 and looking for a bit of history on the car. I have the Marti report that says it is one of 177 cars ordered with the Export Special Handling Package.

Does anyone know what this actually consisted of?

Rumour has it that it was brought in by Ford Aus to be on the showroom floor only and sell Mustangs from the floor models. This didn't really take off and the rest is cloudy. Have rang Ford Australia and they are searching for records but haven't found anything yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated Very Happy

I found this on the internet:
Quote:
Special Export Handling Package
This option was specifically for export models. The special part of this option is a single piece export brace in the engine compartment. It was not a chrome piece either as Ford did not produce a chrome export brace for any Mustang, they were black painted

The name sounds like so much more....than just the brace

Thanks twisted.
