Question about Magnum 500's on 70 Mach Empty
PostSubject: Question about Magnum 500's on 70 Mach   Question about Magnum 500's on 70 Mach EmptySun 21 Jan - 22:03

Hello

I would like to add a set of Magnum 500's to my 70 Mach. I would like to go with a 15" wheel. My question is tire size. Should I go with the 215/60X15 all around or the 235/60X15 all around. I'd perfer the 235/60X15 as long as they won't rub on the front. I'd like to keep the same size tire on all 4 corners so I can rotate.

Just wondering what others are using and any advice you can give

Thanks

I added 235/60X15 BFG's and 15X8 Magnum 500's on all four corners about 13 years ago. I found the article in a Mustang Monthly mag. I know the Magnums aren't factory correct, but they sure look good on the car. I have no clearance problems with the tire/wheel combo. The car has stock height suspension!

PostSubject: plenty of room   Question about Magnum 500's on 70 Mach EmptyThu 10 Jan - 2:28

look at my car to the left. those are 16x8 and 245 50 16 with 4.5 on backspacing and they look small in that wheel well. this car could easily handle 50 series on 17x8 without rubbing. will let you know later when she is put back together.
