Rocker panel moulding Empty
PostSubject: Rocker panel moulding   Rocker panel moulding EmptyWed 5 Sep - 0:00

Confused Have rocker panels that have been painted black. Would like to get them back to original color. Are the original color painted or is it left the aluminum color? What is the best way to get them back to original?

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi Dearborn,
I am doing the same thing to my 1970 mach 1. Cant really find anybody who knows for sure. I have the rockers that have the Mach 1 embosed into the rocker itself. Nobody can tell me if that was chrome or painted argent silver. The best I have found so far is that the rockers are painted dark argent and the lettering is painted light argent.
Ray jump in any time soon.
Thanks Dave

Hi!

The correct color for the rockers molding is dark charcoal.

and if the lettering is removable the top of lettering is natural finish.

Thanks Ray
Who's brand of dark charcoal is it? My Mach 1 lettering is embossed into the rocker molding. I see the scott drake replacements are chrome on the top of the lettering but I cant use these because my lettering is actually part of the rocker. Would dark argent come close to the dark charcoal?
Thanks Dave

Hi!

if your Mach1 letter is embossed into the rocker molding all lettering is dark charcoal.

The paint color for the styled steel wheel for 1970 Mach1 is a good option.

I have purchased this paint to SEMO Mustang.
