On a 1970 mach 1, ineed to know the location of the confidential vin #,there are two stamped #s that are visible on the r/s and l/s fender apron alongside the fenders edge, this is an 8 didit code, as opposed to the 11 digit code on the dash. here's the problem, the one on the fender apron is exactly the same as the one on the windshield but starts w/ #1 , as opposed to #0 First question is does the first digit on the fender apron 8 digit code stand for model year, 2nd question if so did mis- stampings happen, third question, is there another location for a hidden vin on this car, any info on this problem would be greatly appreciated , even a referral to a service that could help
