| The 1970 Mach1 engine displacement numbers on the hood were 3M vinyl tape.
The kit on the trunk lid and quarter panel extensions was also 3M brand vinyl tape. The hood blackout and rear spoiler (if equipped) were low-gloss textured black paint.
This is both MCA and factory correct. The Ford part numbers for the hood displacement decals are D0ZZ-16B621-G for the 351 and D0ZZ-16B621-J for the 428. | |

| Did all 1970 Mach 1's come with "351 or 428" numbers in the hood tape? I've seen many with nothing but stripe, including mine. I'm sure my was replaced at one point during it's life but having a plain stripe adds a certain "msytic" to what's really under the hood. | |
