October 22 2005 - Savannah Mustang Club Annual Show

The Savannah Georgia chapter of the Mustang Club of America will have its annual show at Armstrong State college on Abercorn street just down from the new mall.

I'm going to try and attend. Hope it doesn't rain and maybe I'll see one of you guys there.

Steve, I plan to be there with my white '70 Mach. My local club from Charleston is going to be there with probably 5 to 10 cars. I'm hoping I don't have any job conflicts so I can be there to. If so, I look forward to meeting you.

This was a great show in Savannah, Georgia with lot's of beautiful Mustangs. There were about 5 1970 Mach 1's there including Steve Pilant and myself. It was great to finally meet Steve and see his beautiful black Mach 1 that he has owned since 1977 . We both won trophies which makes it just a little bit more fun.

Once again, a great show and it was very nice to meet another 1970 Mach 1 enthusiasts.

I was soooooo tired when I got in from the show. My son was very proud when we won the trophy and I have a pic of him on the way back, fast asleep with his head slumped in the Simpson harness still clutching the trophy.

If I ever had any doubts the car would be special to him and he'd wanna hang on to it and take care of it, they were erased. Never having actually shown a car before, I learned a few good pointers as well. I BARELY had the car okay enough to show - I gotta get a spare tire, extinguisher etc.


Bill - my leg was KILLING me when I woke up this a.m. - been on the cane all day, but I got a lot of exercise yesterday, not to mention a bit of sun.

On the way back from the show, out of nowhere an ivy green dark mach 1 came flying up behind me and took my same highway exit - someone who wasn't at the show and just happened to be out on the road. His car certainly looked nice enough to be at the show.

I've not run across another one on the local roads in the 5 years I've been here.

It was good meeting you and your wife. Both of us having military background also provided common experiences. I think the military acronyms lost the Pantera guy - nice of you to "civilianize" it. )

My wife came home with her girlfriends from elsewhere and my son went nuts telling her about it. She may not be totally warm to old cars, but she's thawing and if nothing else - she wants our son to be happy and she saw the self-esteem in spades rolling out of him yesterday and that's kinda hard to argue with me buying the occaisonal nos piece. ;-).

Congrats on your trophy as well.
