70 MACH 1

Hello, Question on build dates and parts used. When I bought my 70 mach 1, I discovered over time and knowledge it had a lot of 69 parts Dash, steering column, seats etc. I have verified the VIN for the car and the Marti Report backs up the options the car currently has. I have seen 2 other cars on EBAY with similiar interiors. Has anyone ever heard of car being built in one year then delivered the next, but with 69 equip? If so I may spent a lot of money putting mine back to "original" when it came delivered as is.

my car has a lot of 69 dated parts on it too. my car was also produced in july of 69. my main harness has a 69 date code with the 70 sportlamps on it. ac box and column braces are dated the same too.

Hello, The date codes aren't a problem. Mine had the ignition on the dash with a 69 steering column, which you know 70 was the first year the ignition was on the column. So more than likely over the years it was swapped out.
