Proper paint for hood stripe 70 Mach 1 with Shaker

The subject says it all. I have conflicting information on the proper black paint for the hood stripe on a 70 Mach 1 /w Shaker.

Also would appreciate the proper color for the shaker scoop.

Semi- gloss black is the correct color for the hood stripe with or with out shaker.

The original paint used for the 'blackout paint treatment' in 1970 was Ford p/n 3254 (PPG #9381). A few pre-mixed paints are good approximations of the factory stuff including a urethane: Spies-Heckler (DuPont) 'Rallye matte black' #FP1004. You can try to replicate the texturing by using your favorite SG black paint with the so-called 'dry spray' method. Not a perfect match but looks close.
