hello, I have located the engine tag to out 351W could someone please explain to me what it means on it. And also could someone tell me if the engine compartment is painted the same color as the car is.

Engine tag
1st line: 351 E 69 3
2nd line: E8 K201-S

This is out of a 70 mach 1 fastback

Hello!

To decode your engine tag :

351 E = 351 Windsor engine

69= Model year, 3= Change Level (U.S. Built)

E= Month of Production, probably May

8= Year of production

K201-S= 351-2V Windsor


The engine compartment is painted semi gloss black.
